Abstract
The present research consists of identifying the investor profile of students at a higher education institution in northern Paraná, in order to understand the level of knowledge on the subject and, therefore, check if they are prepared to act in the financial market as professionals. The methodology used is quantitative in nature, through the application of an electronic form containing a multiple-choice questionnaire sent to students via the Whatsapp application. The methodology also included conducting a bibliographic research, featuring authors who discuss theories
about the financial market and related issues. The quantitative analysis allowed to identify which investor profile the students have, which is considered conservative, and through the data collection carried out by the questionnaire, it was observed that the undergraduates predominantly have investments in savings accounts, but also in savings bonds. fixed income, capitalizations and equities. Students still have limited knowledge about investments and consider themselves conservative investors, as they prefer to take less risk.
