Abstract
The present study is a literature review focused on discussing the effects of receiving social security benefits on the employment contract. To this end, a bibliographical research was carried out on the topic, as well as a thorough analysis of the laws that deal with the topic, mainly law nº 82138/91 and DecreeLaw nº 5452/43, the Benefits Law and the Consolidation of Labor Laws, respectively. With the research carried out, it was possible to conclude that this is a complex and multifaceted scenario, where the intersection between social security law and labor law requires a thorough analysis of the applicable laws, jurisprudence and doctrine, since for each type of social security benefit there is reflected in the employment contract.
