Abstract
The growing number of legal cases in Brazil, along with the high costs and extended duration of court proceedings, has led to increased interest in Alternative Dispute Resolution Methods, such as mediation and arbitration, particularly in the corporate environment. This study examines the relevance of these practices in the business context, emphasizing their benefits and limitations. Mediation and arbitration enable efficient extrajudicial solutions, fostering a culture of dialogue and cooperation. The research also explores the applicability of these methods in family holdings, where succession and patrimonial conflicts are common. It concludes that these methods are effective in resolving business disputes, contributing to the preservation of relationships and operational continuity.
